10/Feb/2010 - Raindogs - A New Musical

Things are moving along very well in 2010...my most exciting project at the moment is a West End showcase of the new musical Raindogs, adapted by Rose Martula from the original popular and radical Lanford Wilson play Balm in Gilead. I am Associate Producer and will also be part of the cast.

The music is written by Andrew MacBean, Boko Suzuki and Paul Chant. Andrew is the overall Creative Director for Raindogs and he is an incredible artist and founder of Theatreworks in London.

For more information on the project, its history and previous showcases click here.

December/2009 - Christmas Time!

Merry Christmas! :) Christmas was actually very relaxing this year. I was in Austria with all my family and spent New Years snowboarding in Italy. Also did several peformances including two corporate events and a Christmas dinner in Vienna again. Vienna is such a beautiful city, especially at this time of the year!

Because of all the snow here in the UK I was snowed in at Gatwick Airport for a few hours.
But have a look at this: The Gatwick Factor
Just proves that there is always a chance to sing somewhere!

13/Nov/2009 - Performance in Vienna, Austria

I was invited back to my home town Vienna, Austria to be the featured entertainment for a fundraising event to support a charity working with artists. They offer career advice and also help with personal and interpersonal problems. It was a great night and I sang several musical theatre numbers including the classic "Memory" (in German!) from Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS.

My first gig with The Jive Aces at The Pigally Club, next to Piccadilly Circus, was great. Photos are now online and you can click on the one to the right to view a selection. We had very good feedback and I hope to perform there again in the future. For anyone who has never been, I really recommend it for a night out as you can make dinner reservations, enjoy live entertainment as you eat, and then have fun on the dance floor.

Songs included "Too Darn Hot" from the musical Kiss Me Kate by Cole Porter, "Beyond the Sea", the Louis Prima and Keely Smith duet "Nothing's Too Good For My Baby" and a very swingy version of "We'll Meet Again".

2/Oct/2009 - A Wicked Evening

Due to the success and popularity of my friend's and my performance in September, we have been asked back to perform some more songs from the musical Wicked, music by Stephen Schwartz, but this time in full costumes, full sets and full green for Elphaba. I played the part of Glinda.

I have been working on this project a few days already as a European news reporter and really found the experience invaluable: being on a feature film set and observing seasoned professionals at their job. It really inspires me to take film and TV acting further.
